Multimeter Performs For Demanding Applications

Nov. 1, 2000

The MultiMaster Series of precision true RMS multimeters is designed to handle demanding testing applications. Model MM570 gives a basic dcV accuracy of 0.02% and resolution to 0.001 mV. The backlit LCD with a bargraph displays 500,000 counts for dcV and Hz and 50,000 counts for other functions. Measurement functions include ac/dc voltage and current, resistance, frequency, duty cycle, and capacitance. Dual type K temperature inputs are displayed as T1, T2, and T1-T2 in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Advanced features include ac+dc measurements, 100 kHz ac bandwidth, true RMS, RS232 PC interface, 4-20 mA process measurements with 20 selectable impedances, peak capture of transient pulses, relative, and hold. Optional Windows 95/98 compatible PC communication software and an optically isolated cable are available for data collection. The meter has a 1000V input protection on all functions and costs $299 each and come with CAT III test leads, type K thermocouple probe, heavy-duty protective holster and 9V battery.
