Kit Speeds Up Development Of Flat-Panel Displays

May 1, 1999

Rather than stringing together a power supply, touch-screen, flat-panel display and associated cables to hash out software and hardware development of a flat-panel system, the PDK Series of panel development kits makes the process more convenient and reliable, it's claimed. The PDK offers the necessary system components and cables to easy and speed program development while reducing clutter. The unit is built on a black anodized A frame of lightweight aluminum. The frame holds the LCD panel, backlight inverter, touch-screen and controller, as well as the panel adapter card and cable. It's fully adjustable to accept panels from 6.4" up to 15" diagonal. Also, it's designed to mount on top of the firm's Software Developer's Kit.
