Designed to serve as 1550-nm CW light sources, the NX8570SA and NX8571SA InGaAs DFB laser diode modules deliver 20 mW of power, respectively. The modules feature integrated Etalon filters and dual wavelength monitor photodiodes, suiting them for use in long-haul DWDM, metro access, and other OC-48 and OC-192 data rate systems employing external modulators. When used with external modulators, internal wavelength monitors enhance long-term reliability while reducing chirp and mode dispersion. And in addition to delivering high amounts of power, the two devices also offer high end-of-life wavelength stability of ±20 pm. The NX8570SA and NX8571SA are both Multiple Quantum Well (MQW) structured devices, are housed in hermetically-sealed, 14-pin butterfly packages, and employ internal thermoelectric coolers and isolators to achieve increased efficiency.
