Designed for use in long-haul, metro and cable DWDM networks, the Versalight optical wavelength router card provides 48 channels with 100-GHz ITU channel spacing. The card is fully bi-directional and is interchangeable for either multiplexing or demultiplexing. Specifications include a channel uniformity of less than ±40.5 dB, insertion loss of less than 4 dB, passband uniformity of less than 1 dB, adjacent channel cross talk of >30 dB, non-adjacent channel crosstalk of >35 dB, polarization-dependent loss of less than 0.5 dB, and a return loss of >45 dB. Measuring 2.3" x 12" x 11", the card operates at temperatures ranging from 0°C to 50°C and has a power requirement of less than 2W. The DIN-style backplane connector includes an optical connector and the fiber connector is a LC type with other types available upon request.
