The dBCheck, a handheld power meter, monitors the output of fiber optic cables with ST-, FC- or SC-type connectors. Due to its small, lightweight construction, the meter can be stored in a pocket or tool kit. Microprocessor-controlled dBCheck is calibrated using NIST traceable standards, and its measurement range is -60 dBm (1 mW) to 3 dBm (2 mW) with ±5% accuracy from 850 to 1,700 nm. The power meter also has a rugged, ergonomic design and a three-digit LCD display with unit indicators for µW, mW or dBm power measurements. It also includes a long-life lithium battery.
