UV Radiometer Upgrades Sensor

March 1, 2001

The redesigned DM-254XA short-wave UV digital radiometer is said to achieve more accurate readings via upgraded sensor components and improved calibration light sources. The new digital radiometer features a rugged silicone photodiode that is sealed and fixed in a metal/quartz package.
Features include an accuracy of better than ±5% traceable to NIST, a measurement range of 0 to 19,990 µW/cm2, and a resolution of 10 µW/cm2. Calibration is via pyroelectric methods, said to ensure maximum precision.
The main unit includes a 4.5-digit LED display that is readable in low-light conditions. An auto-zeroing feature and low-battery indicator are also included.
