Using the company's BiCDMOS technology, the UCC3895 PWM controller features zero-voltage switching and low power consumption in power supply applications above 500W. The device's phase-shift topology with advanced resonant transition switching reduces losses in high frequency full-bridge power supplies while maintaining typical start-up and operating supply currents at 150 µA and 5 mA, respectively.
Operating at a constant switching frequency, the device shifts the gate drive phase of one-half of a full-bridge power stage with respect to the other to achieve PWM control. Other features include turn-on delay circuitry, broadband control features, and a programmable adaptive display set that modulates the delay times between the outputs inversely with load current. Pricing ranges from $5.78 to $5.98 each/1000.
