Based on a proprietary NearIR enhanced APD processing technology, this new monolithic, 16-element linear silicon avalanche photodiode array has a spectral response range of 400 to 1,100 nm. Each element produces an output of approximately 60A per watt at the popular 905-nm wavelength. An 18-pin dual-in-line ceramic package with a clear glass window houses the array, sold as part number PSS AD-LA16-9DIL. Each of the 16 elements has an active area of 640 x 239 mm with a separation of only 81 mm (310 mm pitch). The array boasts of a typical uniformity of response of ±5% (at a gain of 50 (M+50)). With a low slope multiplication curve, high speed and uniformity of response, the array should suit a variety of LiDAR and imaging applications. PACIFIC SILICON SENSOR, Westlake Village, CA.
