Quick and accurate fault detection in high-volume production line environments is provided by the Model 1649 digital surge tester for wound products. The device is designed to accurately detect faults in various wound products, including stators, transformers, chokes, solenoids and fields. Winding problems such as turn-to-turn shorts, coil-to-coil shorts, winding-to-winding shorts and phase-to-phase shorts, as well as open-circuit and ground faults can be detected. Features include digital readout displays of voltage output and deviation. Audible and visual indicators alert the operator when failures are detected.
