The source code to the firm's Insight, a graphical user interface for the industry-standard GNU debugger, GDB, has been released at sourceware.cygnus.com/gdb. The Insight GUI provides the technology for efficient debug sessions by improving a software developers ability to visualize, manage, and examine the status of a program as it's debugged. This debugging technology adds a series of intuitive views into the debug process and provides developers with a wide range of system information. The Insight debugger features include: display of mixed-mode/split-screen source and assembly level code; windows for break points and watch variables; graphical stack display for quick navigation; function browser; and editable register and memory displays.
