Ottawa, Ontario, Canada: System-interconnect specialists Tundra Semiconductor acquired Potentia Semiconductor Corp. (Potentia Canada) for $1.4 million in cash (Canadian). The acquisition includes the powercontroller business of Potentia Canada, which Tundra will continue to operate. Tundra will not assume the digital video-display device business of Potentia.

The business will proceed as a new venture under the Potentia Semiconductor Corp. name.
