OEM Flat-Panel Computer Aims At Embedded Applications

The netDisplay, a self-contained, networkable x86-compatible computer, comes complete with color flat-panel LCD and optional touch-screen. The unit is shipped ready-to-run with pre-loaded OS and BIOS, PC-compatible I/O, display adapter, and the company's fail-safe boot ROM. The unit includes a 10BaseT Ethernet interface, two parallel ports, four serial ports, and 12 lines of digital I/OAimed at numerous vertical markets, the netDisplay is applicable to information kiosks, retail point-of-sale, industrial control, medical instrumentation, and transportation management. It's available with an 8.2" passive matrix LCD or a 12.1" active matrix color display.
