This 8 x 8-dot matrix LED array, when combined with Toshiba's new ultra-small, 8-bit LED driver, provides a 0.85" bi-color display that addresses the increasing demand for higher resolution. The display feature 2-mm dots on a 2.7-mm dot pitch, and the devices are stackable vertically and horizontally. A variety of luminosities are available using custom sorting and grouping to ensure a uniform display without block swapping and matching. The Toshiba TB62705CFN 8-bit LED interface driver is a serial data input and 8-bit parallel output device that is only 4.4 x 5.5 mm and has shift register and latch functions.
