Optical Transceiver Supports High Date Rates Up To 1100 Meters

Sept. 1, 1998
Well-suited for ATM systems with OC-12 or STM-4 interfaces, as well as proprietary data interconnect systems, the OC-12 Link optical transceiver can transmit data over inexpensive multi-mode fibers at speed up to 622 Mbytes/s for distances up to 1100

Well-suited for ATM systems with OC-12 or STM-4 interfaces, as well as proprietary data interconnect systems, the OC-12 Link optical transceiver can transmit data over inexpensive multi-mode fibers at speed up to 622 Mbytes/s for distances up to 1100 meters. The optical transceiver features an industry-standard 1 x 9 pin configuration and dual SC connectors. The transceiver meets all CDRH and IEC 825-1 Class 1 eye safety requirements, and an optional shutter mechanism offers additional safety. And it provides ac coupled data inputs and outputs; a dc coupled version also is available.
