Supported by what is said to be an innovative backlight system, this new 10.4” VGA color flat panel display is targeted for use in both indoor and outdoor applications, including medical, point-of-sale and industrial products. The LC640.480.33-AC rugged, bright active matrix liquid crystal display (AMLCD) employs a 10-lamp CCFL backlight that pumps out over 1000 nits of light through the panel, enhancing performance outdoors. The backlight panel is field replaceable, leaving the stack in a sealed enclosure to protect it from contaminants. The AMLCD can be operated in various modes, including automatic brightness adjustment, to maximize brightness and operating life (up to 35,000 hours) over a wide range of ambient conditions. In addition, a dimming ratio of 100:1 helps ensure viewing in dim light and bright sunlight. Other display features include a -10°C to 70°C operating temperature range, wide viewing angles (140° horizontal, 100° vertical), and high contrast (150:1 at 500 lux).
