The TQ8034 is a 3.3V, non-blocking, 34 x 34 crosspoint switch supporting a per-port data rate of 1.6 Gbps. With aggregate bandwidth of greater than 54 Gbps, the device addresses the needs of network and video switch suppliers for a mid-sized array supporting Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet and HDTV data rates. In addition, the switch supports multicast distribution, an essential requirement for Internet, datacomm, telecomm and video server applications. Multicast programming allows the simultaneous configuration of any input to multiple outputs in a single load cycle. A fully differential, high-speed data path minimizes signal distortion due to crosstalk, jitter and power-supply noise. The switch core dissipates 7W typical.
