Aimed at increasing densities in OC-192 networks, a series of optical driver amplifiers and subsystems incorporate the company's latest high-gain, low-noise modules. For opto applications up to 20 GB/s, the driver amplifiers provide a gain of 18 dB and a minimum power of +10 dBm from 10 MHz to 15 GHz with a minimum flatness of ±2.2 dB.
To accommodate other optical modulation formats, custom subsystem modules that integrate the amplifier, mixer, phase shift and attenuator functions are available for performance up to 40 GHz. The MIC thin-film modules are eutechtically bonded to metal carriers within the housing.
