A new 15" TFT LCD employs Feed Forward Driving (FFD) technology to improve image quality. The Model AA150XB04 AngleView panel, designed in conventional twisted nematic (TN) mode, is said to offer faster display response time, high brightness, high color saturation, and a wide viewing angle, providing a breakthrough in the clarity of motion video and scrolling text. The new panel is designed for multimedia and LCD television applications. The FFD technology, incorporated in an ASIC, contains a frame memory and a lookup table. This combination accelerates the frame-to-frame process by calculating and then applying the necessary voltage overshoot. The result is reduced cell response time and greater visual quality of motion video. Pricing is $1,000 each in sample quantities.
