Believed to be the industry’s first wireless transmitter/controller/display, the ACW derives power from either current transformers or potential transformers in existing power line installations. Until now, the high voltage and/or high current had to be “wired” to the control panel either directly or through 4-20 mA transducers requiring expensive conduit installation. A patent-pending technique allows the unit to extract the signal to power the RMS-DC converter and wireless transceiver for Volts, Amps, Hz, or Watts, or all four, that operate from 315 MHz to 928 MHz. The receiver can output up to four 4 mA to 20 mA or 0 to 2 Vdc outputs, RS-232, RS-485, or USB outputs, four relay outputs, and up to two 4.5-digit meters. Additionally, the receiver can be powered from 5 to 32 Vdc or 90 to 265 Vac and comes in a NEMA 4X case. Industrial, Mil-Spec, or nuclear grades are also available. Prices vary with options.
