Debuting as a 3.5" diagonal, low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) TFT system-on-glass (SOG) LCD module, the NL4864HL11-01B targets a wide range of portable designs. Providing a VGA resolution, the module teams the company's super-reflective, natural light TFT and LTPS technologies to deliver bright and clear displays in any kind of ambient light. The module also includes value-integrated TFT technology, which integrates peripheral circuitry on the glass substrate using LTPS technology. Reportedly, this achieves a significant reduction in peripheral wiring and the number of connections with external circuits and results in pixel densities four times higher than conventional 3.5" QVGA modules. The component specifies a luminance of 200 cd/m2 and a density of 200 pixels/in. with a reflective ratio of 10%. It comes with a touch panel, timing controller, and a dc/dc converter. Samples of the NL4864HL11-01B are available now. NEC ELECTRONICS AMERICA INC., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 366-9782.
