For transporting light from a PCB to the front panel, the company’s standing light guides target applications where the PCB stands parallel to the light emitters and front panel.   The guides feature indicators with a planar surface with a 3-mm diameter.  The indicators employ ESD protection from 8 kV to 12 kV within a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. The standing light guides are available in lengths from 9.6 mm to 45 mm and feature press-in pins that provide a stable connection to the PCB. An optional black sleeve can prevent over-emission to neighboring light guides. Pricing starts under $0.075 each depending on volume and configurations. ELMA ELECTRONIC INC., Fremont, CA.
