LED Drivers Ready For The Road

Aug. 4, 2010
The AT9917 and AT9932 LED drivers target automotive lighting apps, i.e., head, tail and dome lights, indicators, and panel backlights.

The AT9917 and AT9932 LED drivers target automotive lighting apps, i.e., head, tail and dome lights, indicators, and panel backlights. The AT9917 uses a peak-current mode control scheme to drive single switch converters and integrates a transconductance amplifier. It also includes a fault output using an external FET. The AT9932 employs a feed-forward current control scheme that achieves low susceptibility to input-voltage transients. Available in 24-lead TSSOPs, prices for the AT9917 and AT9932 are, respectively, $2.05 and $2.23 each/1,000. SUPERTEX INC., Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 222-9883.
