Putting the Bluetooth Mesh Network Through Its Paces

Bluetooth mesh networking allows a collection of wireless nodes to communicate with each other in a cooperative fashion. This helps extend the range of the overall network by enabling nodes to forward messages. It's useful for applications such as commercial lighting and smart-home automation, where geographically diverse nodes can be placed around an area without needing a long-range access point to provide communication for the nodes. A node simply needs to be in range of one or more of its siblings. 

In this video, Seshardi Paravastu shows off Infineon Technologies' AIROC Bluetooth evaluation boards configured to simulate a home automation environment. These systems-on-chip (SoCs) support Bluetooth 5.2. And they work with the AIROC Bluetooth SDK in the ModusToolbox of software-development tools.
