The lowest power consumption of any 828-compatible device on the market is claimed for the SP6828/6829 charge pump voltage inverters. The devices draw just 20 µA of quiescent current while delivering high efficiency in 3V battery powered applications. In addition, the parts offer reverse lithium-ion battery protection on the chip. Guaranteed startup voltage is 1.15V. The SP6828 operates at 12 kHz while the SP6829 operates at 35 kHz; both provide 25-mA outputs with voltage drop of 500 mV.
