XP Power’s JCE06 and JTE06 series of 6-W dc-dc converters up the power density in a 1.25- by 0.80- by 0.40-in., plastic 24-pin DIP through-hole mounting package: 15 W per cubic inch plus up to 84% efficiency. Single-output models come with +3.3-, +5, +12, +15, or +24-V dc outputs. Dual-output versions provide ±3.3-, ±5-, ±12-, ±15-, or ±24-V dc outputs. The JCE06 and JTE06 accommodate 2:1 and 4:1 input ranges, respectively. All models cover nominal input voltages of +12, +124, or +48 V dc. Input-to-output isolation measures 1500 V dc across the range (there’s also an optional 3000-V dc isolation model). Operating temperature ranges from −40 to +100°C; no additional forced airflow or heatsinking is required. Undervoltage input protection shuts down the converter below a set voltage to prevent damage. A metal case option for the devices is available.
