Enhanced versions of Diodes Inc.’s LMV331 and LMV393 single- and dual-channel comparators shrink power consumption, current draw, and package size. The devices operate over a 2.7- to 5.5-V range and at a typical 5-V supply current of 40 µA and 70 µA for the LMV331 and LMV393, respectively. Input common-mode voltage range (including ground) extends from ‒0.1 to +2 V. Output type is open-collector. The drop-in replacements operate over a ‒40 to +125°C temperature range to meet industrial requirements. The dual-channel LMV393 comes in SO-8 and MSOP-8 packaging, while the single-channel LMV331 is housed in 5-pin SOT353s and SOT25s. Applications include battery-powered portable devices, such as mobile phones and notebook PCs.
