Pre-Switch's switching technology dynamically adjusts on a cycle-by-cycle basis to ensure accurate soft-switching across a wide input voltage and load range. The CleanWave technology platform is a high-efficiency, three-phase power-block evaluation inverter, achieving efficiencies exceeding 99.3% at 100 kHz using three 35-mΩ SiC FET transistors per switch location. Bruce Renouard, the company's CEO, compares their tech to legacy power solutions.

Previously, soft-switching hasn't been successfully implemented for dc/ac systems with varying input voltage, temperature, and load conditions. Pre-Switch addressed these challenges by using artificial-intelligence (AI) machine-learning algorithms. The alogrithms constantly adjust the relative timing of elements within the switching system required to force a resonance to offset the current and voltage waveforms, minimizing switching losses.
