$482 USB/LAN oscilloscope offers four channels at 100 MHz

March 23, 2014. Saelig announced it is offering the VDS3104 4-channel 100-MHz PC oscilloscope adapter from Owon with a 1-GS/s real-time sample rate and 10 MS record length for zooming in on glitches. Connected to a PC's USB port for power and communication, this oscilloscope offers the performance of a bench-top four-channel scope, but is compact and lightweight.

Supplied with a user-friendly software interface, the scope offers additional capabilities include FFT and X-Y display (Lissajous figures).  Stable multitrigger options include edge, video, slope, pulse, and alternate settings. The additional rear connector can function as a trigger input, trigger output, or pass/fail output. It offers 19 automatic measurements.

USB bus-powered VDS oscilloscopes need no external source of power. With a thin, compact body design (7″ x 4.7″ x 0.7″, 0.7 lb.), this scope is portable and suitable for field repair work as well as design and debug, circuit function test, education, and training. 

Saelig includes a LAN-enabled remote control option at no charge.  The scope is also supplied with two passive 1/10:1 probes, a software CD, USB cable, soft case, and a quick-start guide.

Manufactured by Owon, the VDS3104 is available from Saelig for $482.
