Pickering Interfaces to showcase switching modules at DesignCon 2015

Jan. 27, 2015

Pickering Interfaces, a provider of signal-switching and instrumentation solutions used in electronic test and simulation, is showcasing its catalog of PXI and Ethernet LXI switching solutions at DesignCon January 28–29 in Santa Clara, CA. These products include Pickering’s PXI fault-insertion products, programmable resistors, RF matrices, microwave multiplexers, and LXI ranges. Here are some of the products being showcased:

  • PXI fault insertion switches (40-190B) are available with 74, 64, or 32 channels and are primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive and avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers.
  • PXI microwave multiplexers (40-784A) include single, dual, or triple SP4T or SP6T relays and are available in a variety of different frequency options for 50 Ω, from 6 GHz to 40 GHz. All models occupy just two 3U PXI slots and feature LEDs that indicate which path of the multiplexer is closed.
  • PXI microwave multiplexers (40-785B) are designed for switching 50-Ω signals up to 40 GHz. They are available as a single or dual 6-channel multiplexer with relays mounted on the front panel. The single slot version can support up to three supplied remotely mounted multiplexers. All the PXI modules can be used in any PXI chassis, can be fitted to PXI hybrid slots in a PXIe chassis, and can also be used in Pickering’s LXI modular chassis for users preferring control via an Ethernet port.
  • The LXI wideband modular matrix (65-110) offers an RF solution that can be easily reconfigured by the removal and insertion of sub-cards. This matrix provides routing for up to 16 of 104 X connections simultaneously to 16 measuring devices on the Y-axis with a usable BW of 500 MHz. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, recently chose this matrix for the switching system to be deployed on its OASIS monitoring system.

Pickering Interfaces stands behind all of its manufactured products with a standard three-year warranty and guaranteed long-term product support.
