Edmund Optics highlights TECHSPEC UC Series lenses

May 4, 2016

Barrington, NJ. Edmund Optics announced it is showcasing its new TECHSPEC UC Series fixed focal length lenses at The Vision Show in Boston this week. Designed to work with all smaller-format camera sensors and built specifically for machine-vision working distances and resolution requirements, these compact lenses are suitable for a range of applications including factory automation, inspection, and biomedical instrumentation.

Designed for pixels that are ≤ 2.2 µm, TECHSPEC UC Series lenses provide high levels of resolution (> 200 LP/mm) across the sensor. These RoHS-compliant lenses are available in five focal lengths from 4 mm to 25 mm. Although the lenses are optimized for 1/2.5-inch sensors, a number of focal lengths support sensors up to 1/1.8 inches. TECHSPEC UC Series lenses are compatible with all standard C-mount cameras to facilitate integration, and they feature locking iris and focus adjustment with recessed set screws to prevent unintentional lens adjustments.

“Despite being offered at an extremely attractive price point and having a very small form factor, our new UC Series lenses deliver the same high-resolution performance and unparalleled quality that you come to expect from every Edmund Optics fixed focal length lens,” said Greg Hollows, director, Imaging Business Unit, Edmund Optics.
