CoreTechnologie software offers tools for DMU process optimization

Dec. 13, 2016

Frankfurt/Main, Germany. With the latest version of 3D_Evolution 4.0, the German-French software manufacturer CoreTechnologie provides innovative tools to optimize DMU processes. The so-called “DMU Inspector Software Suite” has functions such as collision and clearance control as well as a geometric model comparison. Due to the multiprocessor calculation and an intelligent neighbour search, the calculation is accelerated and scalable. Calculation takes place on the exact B-Rep description so that a precise distinction can be made between contact and penetration.

Using the new software, work is being made easier for users due to a clearly arranged, graphically based presentation of results. Supplementing this, the module “3D_Analyser” quickly visualizes the analysis results as 3D models enabling a simple geometric security of large volumes.

In order to manage numerous product variants and development statuses, special filter functions are carried out in the DMU Inspector Software Suite as well as an intelligent calculation of different revisions. In case of a renewed revision of a volume, only modified parts and their neighbors are considered whereby calculation time is minimized. During the process, fingerprints of allowed collisions can be saved so that they are marked as irrelevant in components that are used again several times. The tool is flexibly useable for common formats such as JT with PLMXML data structure as well as CATIA V5, NX, and Creo.

Company background

Since its founding in 1998, the CoreTechnologie, with locations in Germany, France, the United States, Japan, and Great Britain has been led by the managing directors Dominique Arnault and Armin Brüning. The visionary company has consistently optimized its product portfolio and secured the technological leadership in the area of conversion software. Each year, CoreTechnologie invests more than 30% of sales in the research and implementation of new technologies.

In the focus of technology development is the product line of “3D Evolution,” which guarantees efficient and lossless exchange of complex data structures between independent and heterogeneous CAX software solutions. With native interfaces for all leading CAD systems and for conversion of all common 3D formats, the software module ensures optimal interoperability of most various IT solutions.

Apart from providing visualization and manufacturing data across most various systems, CoreTechnologie offers technologies for automatic data correction, feature-based conversion, geometry optimization, quality control, and long-time archiving as well as for visualization of complex 3D models. The software components for software manufacturers of the most different CAX applications are the company’s second leg.

The customer portfolio of CoreTechnologie comprises more than 400 companies from the automotive, aerospace, engineering, and consumer goods industries who are in many cases the quality leaders in their relevant segments.
