Rohde & Schwarz, Analog Devices reinforce long-term relationship
Munich, Germany. Rohde & Schwarz announced today that for more than 30 years, it has been productively collaborating with Analog Devices, a key components supplier. With the signing of a new global procurement agreement, the two companies have given their relationship a new contractual foundation, ensuring a solid platform for current and future business.
As a strategic partner, ADI is involved early in product-development processes and is regularly provided with information in the form of roadmaps. In return, Rohde & Schwarz receives insight into up-and-coming component generations and can plan accordingly. To maintain this mutually beneficial and productive collaboration over the long term, the two companies have signed a new contract.
The agreement is based on the new Rohde & Schwarz supplier management program that uses a transparent process for evaluating suppliers and which aims to systematically leverage the synergy potential resulting from close collaboration.
The contract was made final in February at Analog Devices in Wilmington, MA. Cross-functional teams from both companies were present as well as ADI’s chief executive officer, Vincent Roche, and Dr. Marc Sesterhenn, executive vice president production and materials management at Rohde & Schwarz and member of the executive board. Peter Schlindwein, VP of corporate procurement at Rohde & Schwarz, commented, “I am delighted to see ADI and Rohde & Schwarz, two pioneers in the electronics industry, renew their partnership and take it to the next level by concluding a comprehensive agreement.”
Roche added, “I’m very pleased with the progress that we are making together. We share many common values, not least the belief that innovation drives business success.”
The contract is being implemented worldwide.
