KOA Speer debuts 0.2-mΩ, 12-W power shunt current-sense resistor
June 1, 2018
Bradford, PA. KOA Speer Electronics has introduced a new 0.2-mΩ resistance value to its PSJ2 Series power shunt current sense resistors. This resistor features a 12-W power rating and is available in a 3920 package. These power shunt resistors offer ultralow resistance, suitable for large-current sensing, as well as an operating temperature range of -65°C to +175°C.
KOA Speer’s PSJ2 Series offers TCR of ±75 ppm/°C to approximately ±200 ppm/°C with resistance tolerances of ±1%. These power shunts will now be offered in resistance values of 0.2 mΩ, 0.5 mΩ, and 1 mΩ and are AEC-Q200 qualified. The PSJ is suitable for automatic mounting and reflow soldering.
Used primarily for current detection, the PSJ2 current sense power shunt resistors serve transportation and industrial markets in applications such as DC/DC conversion, automotive modules, motor control, and power supplies. Lead time is 12 weeks. Samples are available upon request.
