Packaged as a benchtop instrument with dimensions of 342 mm wide x 134 mm high, NSG 3025 is a multi-environment test tool combining the portability and standalone test capabilities needed for on-site system evaluation with extended functions and automated control facilities required for product development and certification work in laboratories and EMC test houses. This instrument's test capabilities exceed the requirements of all relevant EMC standards such as EN 61000-4-4 and IEC 1000-4-4 by a significant margin and provides flexibility for handling product and in-house standards for now and in the future. Capable of generating 200V to 4.8 kV pulses, the NSG 3025 handles burst frequencies from 0.1 kHz to 1 MHz and 1 to 255 spikes per burst. A built-in coupling network enables the interference pulses to be superimposed on any or all of the EUT supply lines, and the instrument accommodates EUT supply requirements of up to 250V at 16A ac or 120V at 16A dc. The pulses are also made available via a separately switched front panel connector for data and signal line testing.
