Extending the functionality of Infiniium digital storage oscilloscopes (DSOs), the E2699A My Infiniium software and N5383A Windows XP Pro upgrade kit allow users to customize their DSOs and perform advanced on-site laboratory analysis of both analog and mixed signals. The E2699A software provides two interface options: the extensible graphical user interface (eGUI) and a quick-execute feature. Via the eGUI, menu items can be added to the Infiniium menu structure and linked to perform custom analysis. The quick- execute feature accommodates customization of the QuickMeas+ key on the DSO's front panel to provide one-button access to custom measurements. The software is compatible with all 54830 and 54850 series oscilloscopes with an A.03.10 or higher version of the Windows XP Pro-based operating system. Free software upgrades for Infiniium 54850 Series oscilloscopes are available at the company's web site. Additionally, the E2699A can run all Windows XP-compatible programs. Users of VEE Pro, LabView, and Visual Studio can take advantage of the IVI-COM driver, also available as a free download. Price for the E2699A is $795 and the N5383A Windows XP Pro upgrade kit is $495. AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Palo Alto, CA. (800) 452-4844, ext. 7849.
