Designed for the BPA100 Bluetooth protocol analyzer, the new Version 2.1 (V2.1) software extends the instrumentÕs capabilities with added features. The software is fully compliant with the latest Bluetooth V1.1 radio, baseband and stack standards from the Bluetooth SIG. One of the new features includes the integration of the Host Controller Interface (HCI) terminal into the analyzer. The HCI delivers low-level commands that help users proceed step-by-step through problem areas in protocol execution. The terminal also allows the creation of scripts or macros that combine groups of low-level commands to accelerate repetitive tasks.Other new features include two additional upper protocol views (TCS and OBEX) and the capability for the analyzer to capture encrypted packets in either the piconet or independent modes.
