Eight new digitizers have been introduced in PXI format with bandwidths ranging from 150 MHz to 1 GHz. There are also choices for 11 possible upgrades of acquisition memory length, for a total of 19 PXI digitizer configurations. The new products feature advanced instrument-on-a- chip technology, which combines a high-performance a/d converter and long acquisition memory in a single hybrid.
The bandwidth is said to be double that of the previously available bandwidth and is suited for testing a variety of datacomm, telecomm and other products and ICs. All eight models feature a fast single shot sampling rate and a 50 GS/s repetitive sampling rate. Providing both single shot and repetitive models allows the PXI products to emulate a high-performance digital oscilloscope. Pricing starts at $4,990 for the 250-MHz PXD212.
