Wireless Test Set Adds Tools

Five applications further extend the capabilities of the E5515C (8960 Series 10) wireless communications test set: the E6717A UMTS and E6719B suites plus the E6703C W-CDMA and E6701D GSM/GPRS lab applications. The E6717A UMTS suite bundles lab applications for GPRS, EGPRS (EDGE), GSM, and W-CDMA while the E6719B suite includes EGPRS (EDGE) functionality and GSM/GPRS, cdma2000, and W-CDMA technologies. The E6703C W-CDMA lab application includes the company's phase discontinuity graphical measurement for the verification of phase performance under changing power conditions. In addition to supporting multimedia messaging service (MMS) testing and comprehensive adaptive multi-rate (AMR) capabilities, the E6701D GSM/GPRS lab application provides end-to-end video conferencing testing with real-time audio/video and picture-in-picture.
