For high-frequency applications ranging from components to systems and instrumentation, the W1 coaxial interface system handles frequencies up to 110 GHz based on the 1-mm coaxial connector front side interface as per IEEE Std 287. The system includes both male and female sparkplug connectors, as well as a female flange-mount connector. Center conductors within the sparkplug connectors employ the company's proprietary low-loss, high-temperature plastic bead on one end and a Teflon bead on the other to provide reliable concentricity to the pin on the back side. Flange-mount connectors use a PPO bead on the front end and a Teflon bead on the back end. Center conductors in both the sparkplug and female connectors extend outside the connector, allowing for a direct pin-overlap connection to the circuit. Other connector features include a 50§Ù impedance, -16 dB VSWR, and a typical insertion loss of 0.7 dB on the sparkplug connectors and 0.6 dB on the flange-mount components. Depending on the system and options, prices range from $595 to $845. ANRITSU COMPANY, Morgan Hill, CA. (408) 778-2000.
