For $799, the 16-bit, 16-channel USB-1616FS brings designers a USB-based analog and digital I/O data-acquisition (DAQ) system. It features simultaneous input sampling (one analog-to-digital converter/input) of 50 ksamples/s, up to 150 ksamples/s of total module throughput, and 8 bits of digital I/O. Free software includes TracerDAQ professional-grade software for strip-chart recorders and data loggers, a SoftWIRE graphical programming interface for Visual Studio .NET, Universal Library programming-language support for Windows, and LabView drivers and virtual interfaces.
