Reducing the time required for making accurate measurements on the PCI bus, the PCI-4070 FlexDMM six-digit, digital multimeter (DMM) packs a wealth of features and integrates with LabVIEW 7 Express. The DMM can operate as both a DMM and a 1.8 Msamples/s high-voltage isolated digitizer. It exhibits a 6-ppm, basic 24-hour dc-voltage accuracy and a sub µV sensitivity. Reading rates for dc measurement range from 100 samples/s at six digits to 10 ksamples/s at four digits. Operating as a digitizer, the DMM can acquire both ac- and dc-coupled voltage and current wave- forms up to 300 V and 1A, respectively, with the input at a maximum sampling rate of 1.8 Msamples/s. Users can also make a variety of non-standard measurements, including instantaneous power, traditionally performed with a power meter. The FlexDMM comes with NI-DMM driver software, which is optimized for use with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, and Visual Studio.net. NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS, Austin, TX. (888) 280-7645.
