The 701182-1 bit error tester, a stand-alone unit providing an unframed PRBS serial binary output ranging from T1 to STM-1 rates, delivers outputs that are encodeable with applicable zero-suppression techniques. Signal-level support includes differential and single ended AMI, CMI, ECL, PECL, RS-422, and LVDS for copper and STM-1 (OC3) fiber optic interfaces. All I/Os are accessible via rear-panel, concentric twin-axial connectors or BNC connectors, and all NRZ interfaces are differential pairs. Fiber optic I/O is through LC connectors and a SFP transceiver. The SFP I/O can be electrical if an Infiniband or Fiber Channel device is installed. Single-unit price for the 701182-1 is under $5,000. For more information, contact Tom Mirochna at TECHNISYS, Woodbury, NJ. (856) 848-9001.
