Employing a patented digital phase analysis (DPA) technology, the OTS9200 jitter-analysis module is claimed to be the industryÕs first fully digital optical-jitter measurement tool. Targeting 10-Gb/s SONET/SDH markets, the module time stamps every edge of the SONET/SDH data stream and removes the error sources and variables associated with phase-locked-loop (PLL) circuitry. It performs both jitter-generation and jitter-tolerance testing and product verification to standards from OC-3/STM-1 to OC-192/STM-64.
