Developers of MIPS-based products can take advantage of the new Turbo System. The PCI-1149.1/Turbo System can handle a sustained test clock frequency of 80 MHz. That translates to more than 3 Mbytes/s of throughput for a tenfold improvement over the typical 300-kbyte/s rate of existing JTAG systems. The central focus of the system is the PCI-based Turbo Scan Engine. The PCI-1149.1/Turbo System starts at $6950, including a Windows-based source-level debugger.
