Unveiled as the market's first protocol-based, single-instrument test set for analyzing 802.11b/g devices, the MT8860B simulates an access point and creates a single connection to the device under test (DUT). This approach eliminates the need for special DUT software or signal generator programming. The instrument makes all major 802.11b/g transmitter and receiver measurements, alleviating the need for other test components. In addition, transmitter measurements such as OFDM, EVM, power profile, spectral mask, and CCDF, can be conducted in parallel, providing significant improvements in measurement speed over traditional techniques. The MT8860B employs a unique Packet Loopback measurement scheme for both transmitter and receiver measurements. Other features are a built-in reference radio and calibrated and traceable output power. Pricing starts at $26,500. ANRITSU CORP., Richardson, TX. (800) 267-4878.
