Two new CompactPCI versions of interface cards have been designed for the test and simulation of MIL-STD-1553 systems. The BU-65570T and BU-65572T achieve full interfacing for one or two serial, dual-redundant data buses and a cPCI chassis. These products have been designed for use in a wide variety of military, commercial, space and industrial applications. They currently simulate a bus controller and up to 31 remote terminals, and give a selectable, triggerable bus monitor for each MIL-STD-1553 bus. The cards can generate a wide variety of word and message errors. Blocks of data can be transferred to PCI address space via direct memory access from either card’s monitor, reducing host processor overhead. For reception of a 1 kHz pulse-code-modulated time input, IRIG-B standard support is built into the BU-65570T and BU65572T. The BU-65570T is a fixed 1553 transmitter voltage card, while the BU-65572T gives variable transmitter voltage. These cards are compatible with Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP, Linux and VxWorks platforms. Software drivers and C, Visual Basic, and LabView programming libraries are added at no extra charge. DATA DEVICE CORP., Bohemia, NY. (631) 567-5600.
