The Crescendo system is designed to automatically and rapidly install the company's EMI shielding gaskets, as well as protective acoustic covers and thermal interface products used in handheld portable devices such as cellular phones. It is claimed to represent the fastest technique available for EMI gasket application, with installation rates of up to 12 cycles per minute. The system operates using reels of die-cut gaskets supplied on a polyester carrier web. Gaskets are automatically peeled from the reel, exposing the gaskets integral conductive pressure sensitive adhesive. The vacuum headband tamps the gasket onto the target.
