The NSG 438 electrostatic discharge (ESD) simulator system has an elevated discharge voltage of 30 kV, exceeding industry ESD test standards requiring 25-kV pulse voltages. The basic model includes a 150-pF, 330-Ω network in compliance with IEC/EN 61000-4-2 standards. It generates standard-compliant discharge pulses of 200 V to 30 kV in both air and contact discharge operations. A complete selection of parameter settings is available for polarity, pulse repetition, counter functions, and breakdown detection at all ranges. Users can add appropriate network modules to accommodate ISO 10605, ANSI, SAE, ISO, and Mil standards. Standards settings can be downloaded via the unit's PC interface. Pricing starts at under $11,000 with a delivery time of four to eight weeks.
