The WaveMaster model 8600A digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) captures high-speed signals up to 6 GHz with 75-ps rise time. The DSO comes standard with 1 Mpoint of acquisition memory on each of the four input channels (2 Mpoints when using only one or two input channels). Each channel contains a silicon-germanium analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The scope performs real-time sampling at 10 Gsamples/s (20 Gsamples/s when using only one or two channels). Based on the company's X-Stream technology, it performs standard measurements up to 100 times faster than comparable oscilloscopes. Users can create customized parameter measurements or waveform math functions and insert them into the scope's user interface. Available options include 48 Mpoints of memory per channel (96 Mpoints when using one or two channels) and a removable hard drive. The 8600A 6-GHz DSO costs $63,750 with a delivery time of four to six weeks.
