With the FS4200 IEEE-1394 bus analysis probe, designers can use their HP logic analyzers as an IEEE-1394 bus analyzer. It gives 1394 bus developers a powerful tool for debugging, testing and verifying compliance of 1394 peripherals and 1394-based systems. The probe is an IEEE-1394 node with three ports. It participates in the bus initialization, tree identification and self-identification processes required of a 1394 node. Software included with the probe contains complete configuration files and a 1394 transaction inverse assembler for an HP logic analyzer.
